PRAGUE --Toyota is pausing production at its Kolin factory in the Czech Republic for nearly a week due to a parts shortage caused by production at the factory rose by 35 percent to 202,255 cars.
Factory tours are only available to visitors over 10 years of age. Visitors are not required to use their own vehicles on the plant site. Tours are available from Monday to Saturday at 08:00, 10:00, 13:00 and 15:00. The tour duration is approx. 2 hours and the maximum capacity is 10 – 15 persons per group. The tour can be made in Czech or German.
The Kolin plant has built the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 108 and Citroën C1 A-segment city cars since 2005. TMMCZ will continue production of the vehicles for both Toyota and PSA. The site is one of the largest exporters in the Czech Republic and is the largest employer in the local area, employing more than 3,500 people.
